Representative projects have included fund raising and membership marketing plans, strategic plans, board and operational assessments, agency preparation for accreditation surveys and government evaluations, employee compensation and retention strategies, and facilitation of board retreats and other organizational meetings. He has over 25 years experience working with nonprofits including over ten years in consulting and nine years as executive director of a national nonprofit organization. He holds a law degree from Wayne State University, an MBA degree from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan. His work includes individual coaching and support for new executive directors, staff development planning and team building. He is a skilled facilitator working with boards, advisory committees and management teams in meetings and retreats. He has served as strategic planning consultant for agencies working in a variety of areas including housing and community development, developmental disabilities, legal services, children and family services. With over 25 years in the nonprofit sector, he has worked in such areas as basic agency management, board development, conflict resolution, time management, supervisory training and organizational change. Bruce has a doctor of ministry degree in executive management from McCormick Theological Seminary, a master in theology degree from Yale University and a bachelor's degree in economics from Lawrence University.
